Fakih decided to flatter a model when she was just 19 years old. In 2010, she started a journey into Hindi tv with an unnoticed part of Bonita Ahluwalia in the rom-com Mahi Way. Post a 5 years hiatus, she come back to tv in 2015 with Star Plus romantic drama Tere Sheher Mein which presented her as Rachita Agnihotri. In the same year, she as well worked in Time Machine. Subsequently that year in December, Fakih starred as the evil antagonist Rani Rajeshwari in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, a period drama telecast on Zee TV, and was most appreciated for her acting ability’s before she left the show in 2016.

In 2019, a video of Fakih went viral in which she was seen smoking. The video was captured by the television actress, Shraddha Arya. Anjum received a lot of criticism for her actions.
